LotClock in your assistant
Ask Claude or ChatGPT about any used vehicle in southeastern Michigan and it answers from LotClock: what comparable cars are asking at dealerships within 20 miles, the cars themselves with links to their listings, and how long that kind of vehicle stays on dealer lots. Your own lot is always free.
Connect it
LotClock connects to AI apps that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The address is:
https://app.lotclock.io/mcp
- Claude: Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the address above and choose Connect.
- ChatGPT: add a new app or connector by its address, paste the address above, and choose OAuth when it asks how to sign in.
- Any other MCP app: add a remote server with the address above. It signs in with OAuth, the standard way these apps connect to a tool.
A LotClock page opens. Paste the access code LotClock gave your business, choose Connect, and you are sent back to the app. You paste the code once; it is never part of a link.

What it can do
Price a car — 1 credit
By VIN, or year, make and model with the miles. The market ask at that car's miles, the middle half of the market, where a price ranks, and the 12 comparable listings with their dealers and links. Measured around a Michigan town or ZIP code, or around your own lot.
Days on lot — 3 credits
How long pickups, SUVs, cars, minivans or vans stay listed at dealerships in a county before they leave, measured from the nightly archive.
My lot report — free
Every vehicle on your own website compared with the local market: the ones asking most above it, and the ones furthest below.
Credits and prices — free
How many credits you have left, today's limit, and what each answer costs.
An answer LotClock refuses or can't give (for example, fewer than five comparable cars nearby), anything about your own lot, and the same answer again within 24 hours. Every answer says what it cost and how many credits are left.
Things to ask it
- What is a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox LT with 38,000 miles asking near Troy?
- Price this VIN, and show me the cars you compared it with.
- How long do pickups stay on dealer lots in Macomb County?
- Which of my cars are priced above the market?
- How many LotClock credits do I have left?
Credits
Credits are prepaid and bought from LotClock directly, never inside the AI app. A pack lasts twelve months; a monthly plan's credits last the month. Each business has a daily limit, 250 answers unless agreed otherwise, so a runaway conversation stops by itself. To buy credits or raise a limit, write to hello@lotclock.io.
What the AI app sends, and what LotClock keeps
- LotClock never sees your conversation. It receives only the request the assistant sends to a tool: a VIN or a car's details, a town or ZIP code, a kind of vehicle.
- For a charged answer it keeps a billing record: which kind of answer, which car or area, and when. Nothing else from the request is stored.
- The sign-in is kept as scrambled copies of the tokens the app holds; the tokens themselves are never stored.
- Answers contain only market data: asking prices from dealership websites, mileage, dealer names and links to their listings. Asking prices, not sale prices, and not a valuation.
End the connection
Remove LotClock from the app's connectors, or ask us to revoke your code. A revoked code stops the connection at the next question, in every app it was used in.
